Life With Pomeranians
These are the moments that don’t make it into the show ring — the everyday, the unexpected, and the ones that make you laugh when you least expect it.
Life with Pomeranians is never dull… and these are just a few of those memories.
Lucas – My little Houdini! There was no keeping him in!

What Lucas lacked in size, he made up for in determination. One day I noticed the sheep running together in a tight herd and wondered what on earth was going on.

Then I saw him — tiny, fearless Lucas — proudly rounding them up like a seasoned farm dog.

Not bad for a little Pomeranian.
Some moments you never forget… this is one of them.

There is always one…

Danya never did anything quietly — if there was excitement, she was already in the air before anyone else had time to react.

Willow, my little Chi, wasn’t far behind, always ready to be part of whatever was going on, while the rest watched closely, just in case they might be missing out.

Every one of them with their own personality… and not one willing to be left out.
All Four Feet… For Now

For once, all four feet were firmly on the ground…

But knowing Danya, it never lasted long.

There was always something to chase, something to investigate, or simply a burst of excitement that couldn’t be contained.

Moments like this were rare — and all the more special because of it.
Becky… the Tree Climber!

Some Pomeranians are clever…
Some are cheeky…
And then there was Becky
😄

Becky was my little adventurer—full of personality and absolutely fearless. One day, I went outside and couldn’t find her anywhere. I called and called, thinking she must have slipped off somewhere she shouldn’t have.

Then I happened to glance up…

And there she was.

Up in the tree!
🌳

Not just a little hop either—Becky had somehow managed to climb far higher than I ever thought possible for a tiny Pomeranian. Sitting there as proud as anything, looking down at me as if to say, “Well? Aren’t you impressed?”

I honestly couldn’t believe my eyes. A tree-climbing Pom! Of all the things you expect from this breed… that is definitely not one of them!

As she started to come down—very slowly and very carefully—I, of course, kept telling her, “Stop! Stay there!”
And she did… obedient little thing… which only made the whole situation worse!

Finally, John stepped in and said, “Stop telling her to stop if you want her to come down… or I’ll go get the ladder!”
😄

Needless to say, Becky eventually made it down safely… but that wasn’t the end of it.

John, being John, decided prevention was better than cure. His solution? He nailed thick black plastic all around the tree trunk so there would be no more climbing adventures.

And the funniest part?

That plastic is still there… 18 years later… just in case another Pomeranian decides to take up tree climbing as a hobby!
😄

But that was Becky—always keeping me on my toes, always full of surprises, and always making me laugh.
“You told us to use the cubby house… and we are!”

There are moments when you set something up with the best of intentions…
And your Pomeranians have completely different ideas
😄

I had this lovely little cubby bed set up, soft and cosy, thinking it would be the perfect place for them to snuggle in comfortably.

💕
Well…

They did use it.

Just not quite the way I had imagined!

Instead of neatly settling inside, they all piled in however they pleased—on top of each other, half in, half out, one tucked away, another draped across the top… and one completely upside down as if that was the most natural thing in the world.

And if they could talk, I’m quite sure they’d say:

“You told us to use the cubby house… and we are!”
😄

No rules, no order—just pure Pom logic.

And honestly… I wouldn’t have it any other way
Not every moment needs a story…
sometimes the pictures say it all 💕
These are just a few of the many everyday moments that bring so much joy to life with Pomeranians. Slide show below, just give it a moment to start.
